Sniper stand, or how to use a credit card responsibly

The Sniper Stand is a small plastic button that attaches to your Iphone and has a slot in which you insert a credit card which then turns into a stand for your phone. It's very practical and promotes the safe use of a credit card. Also useful when you are on-the-go or traveling, it only costs about 10$, making it one of my favourite gadgets for Iphone (among other things it can be used on) ever invented. The Ibend comes in second, but only because it's not as sturdy, although it is cheaper and you get 2 instead of 1.

Adidas hermes wing shoes are sweeeet

Here is a pair of adidas Hermes winged shoes and although the concept is a little over the top, the look is pretty sharp, if you ask me. Also, I can't guarantee you can fly with them, but you can try (I'll push you off a tall building if you want)...
Also, shoes are only available on august 10th from the online adidas store.

Gameboy condoms, because why not?

So artist Ben Marsh came up with these gameboy themed latex condoms, because videogames make you think of children and kids make you wish you used condoms.
They also come in different sizes and shapes and are pun-named after videogames:

Ribbed: the long end of Zelda
Heat: Dong
Tingle: Bone Zone 2
Thin: Super Mario Land Of Love
X Safe: Sextris
Large: Donkey Shlong

Lovely. Except if you're going to buy these, I'm pretty sure you ain't gettin laid at all.

The cutest Spork you'll ever see

For everyone who has ever wondered what you would get if you crossed a spork and a multi-tool? Well now you know. It's the CRKT Eat'n tool. It includes A bottle opener, a screw driver, 3 metric wrenches and obviously, a spork. It's so cute and for 7$, I just might get one.

For the farmville addicts out there. You're welcome!

Ok, this is no joke. Actual farmville food is on the market and you can buy it at your local 7-11. Considering the app has had so much success, their expansion into the real world was just a question of time. Not the first time we see this kind of success (rewind back 8-9 years ago with Neopets). I really would like to see them come out with plush toys or maybe even a software version of the game, complete with better graphics and no slow Beta.
Too bad you cant use your farmville gold to buy the stuff..

Some dude down my street does other things for 5$... I'm just sayin'...

This website has existed for some while now but I absolutely wanted to share it. At Fiverr.com, you can join and take up someone's offer in exchange for 5$. It's an worthwhile follow and you can get some good stuff for a low price such as business cards, advertising and other services. Definately going to add this to my faves. Enjoy!!

CUTE!!!! Iphone Apps Magnets

These adorable Iphone app magnets come in a 18 pack for 16$ and what's even better is that you don't have to order them by phone you can just buy them at your closest UO store. I'm buying a pack this week because I cannot stand the cuteness of these! Can't wait to see how they look like on my fridge hihi!

Sneaky sneaky.. Lamp disguised as poster disguised as lamp

The Flat light poster is a poster of a lamp that actually lights up when you plug it in. Of course it's a bit pricey for a lamp (195$ US) but it's quite worth it, because the lightbulb is actually a bunch of heatless LEDs that are not going to cause a fire in your house. Also, only 50 units have been made, making this piece a limited edition poster.

J'suis riche riche, j'ai tout ce qu'il faut - lampe a 875 $ qu'il faut détruire pour s'en servir

Tant qu'à ça, jette ton Iphone sous un 18 roues.

Here's the LESS LAMP, the 875 $ lamp that comes with an ice-pick looking device that you have to crack to make the light through which the light peeks out of.
So let me get this straight... not only do you pay 875 for the thing, you also have to DIY??? HA.

Iron your clothes with Coffee - Iron coffee mug

I don't iron, I have people (my mom) do it for me, so when something isn't ironed I just throw a fit ( just kidding, that's Naomi Campell).
If you're not me, maybe you need a clothes iron. If you don't have one and are also thinking of getting an expensive coffee mug, you are in luck. Now you can iron, drink coffee and spill coffee all over your freshly washed clothes with this mug that does it all for you.

The bottom has a triangular shape similar to an iron so when the coffee is hot enough, you can use it to do your clothes like this lady right above. Look how happy she looks from her new acquisition. It's almost as if she doesn't believe she's getting paid 40$ to show off her cleavage for a useless coffee mug.

I just spilled a hot one on my thighs- New Coffee mug tells temperature

The Battery Mug is a mug that basically indicates how much coffee you still have in your cup without having you do all that heavy lifting of your head to check for yourself by looking INSIDE like a normal person does.
Instead this one has a cool battery indicator on the side that turns green if the liquid is hotter than 96.8 degrees Celsius.
As much as I like the nude-when-hot-male-genitalia uncovering on my cup version, I find this one a million times classier. Also, more expensive: 28$ for a cup. But I'd drink out of it just to show off to my coworkers and have them wonder how it works (I love working with blondes :P).

Also check out their other works. Not bad.

Scissors reinvented

To add to the list of things that are perfect just the way they are but are being redesigned to help us here are the brand new scissors.

They are designed to get rid of all that stress that your regular "so 2008" scissors have on your wrist and fingers. Also, only the blade on top is mobile, as the bottom one doesn't move.

Congratulations, laziness, you have managed to taken over the least active of all hobbies: crafts.

Nokia, you've done it again

Le tout nouveau N8, ça promet, ça promet... Mais pas assez.

In an effort to compete in an Apple ruled market, Nokia announces it's new creation, the N8.
Here are a couple of specifications and what's new. It looks like an awesome phone, but then again, I don't think it stands a chance against Apple's Iphone, especially now with the Ipad entering the Canadian Market. Good luck to Nokia, though, I always cheered for the smallest guy. Via Wired.com:

"So what’s new? A ridiculous 12 Megapixel camera (plus 720p video), with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon lamp, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 16GB on-board storage expandable by microSD, HD-video plus HDMI-out for watching on the big screen, GPS navigation via OVI Maps (plus access to the OVI Store for applications) and of course, multi-touch and “full multitasking.”"

Taste Testing

So I stumbled across these chocolate sniff tubes called Le Whif.
Le Whif promises to deliver the taste of chocolate with less than one calorie a whiff.
It's breathable chocolate particles that stick to your taste buds and mouth walls. Apparently they are great if you're on a diet and get chocolate cravings (they may or may not have been created with me in mind.)
(Obviously)I have ordered a pack of three as they are not very expensive, although it's gonna be a while till I get them because they are flying in all the way from England.
I'm guessing they wont be too bad, but the question is now: can you OD on them?? :) I'll keep u posted.
Thank you too InStyle for featuring them in their May 2010 issue.

For my very first post, I thought I'd start with something that's pretty. Also, pretty creepy.

Here's a self-portrait sculpture made by artist Kasey Mcmahaon called Connected. It's made out of Ethernet Cables and kinds looks like me when I get tangled up in those computer cords. Damn internets and their whatchamacallits.

Welcome to The Blahg

Welcome to The blahg! Bienvenue sur mon bleuhg (méchante traduction.. )

I am initiating myself to blogging, as you can see (although all of you that know me on facebook, you know how much of a big mouth I have, so this comes as no surprise too you)

The reason that I have the irresistable urge to create this virtual blabbing is to share the news, articles and thoughts that come to me everyday about the things that have come to interest me. I wish I could categorize it right away, but then, what would be left of the surprise? :)

Things that you might see on here are new art and design ideas, gadgets and interesting videos around the web that catch my eye.

Hopefully you will be following me, as I promise to make this interesting and fun (as fun as we can have without alcohol/taking our pants off) yaayy
